As a life-long resident of Cambridge, Ontario, Ginny is always looking for new processes that help her grow as an artist. She is a Fine Arts graduate from the University of Guelph and has been printmaking and painting for over 30 years. Her work can be found in private collections in Canada, the United States, Australia and England.

Ginny creates a wide range of fine art and functional textile art that is inspired by her life-long love of Northern Ontario landscapes, her garden and the gorgeous architecture in her hometown. She is inspired daily by patterns and light from both natural and constructed elements. Using a variety of printmaking mediums, including relief, intaglio, and monotype, Ginny creates art that brings you back to those peaceful moments and happy memories of time with family and friends.

“My images are not only about the landscape that inspires my work; they are equally about the play of light at a certain time of day in a certain season. My life-long love of textiles and patterns is also prominent in my work. The versatility of printmaking allows me to approach my work in a variety of ways to create depth and atmosphere. Some techniques allow me to make quick decisions and enjoy the freedom to follow my instincts, while other techniques need careful planning and experimentation to create the image I want. I love creating texture, depth and atmosphere through the careful planning and/or endless experimentation involved in the printmaking process. I hope you enjoy my work!”
