Inspired by the love of outdoors, animals, gardens and colour, Adrienne MacFarlane translates her inspiration into stained glass and fused glass art.  Her journey with glass started 35 years ago with an amazing instructor who encouraged creativity and individual design in addition to the goal of continuous improvement in the building process.

The magic of creating new designs, custom orders and commissioned pieces continues as Adrienne collaborates with her glass partner Sandy Hill in the studio known as the glA&S room.  Because each piece is handmade, they are all uniquely different.

Sandy Hill, now living on a farm in St. Agatha, ON, began creating with glass over 30 years ago.  Most inspiration comes from nature, family and fun: whether the art form is stained glass, fused glass, woodworking, painting, or planting.  Sandy revels in the beauty and joy of spending time with family and friends, in the kitchen, lost in a book, in the garden, planting trees, and as you might expect, in the studio known as the glA&S room. Glass is an exciting and tactile medium.  Each object is hand cut and crafted, no two pieces are ever identical.  The flexibility of such a rigid material and the feel and visual of a piece contribute to its exquisite beauty.
