Suji, a Toronto artist, began drawing and painting in the classical realism style taught in the art academies of Florence, Italy.

Her still life works are painted from observation of collected and arranged vignettes of object d’art, seasonal flowers and fruit. Her recent abstract paintings still explore nature but focus on gestures, color and light and contours to express that real world. 

Suji paints to beguile the viewer to look & look again by capturing an exuberance and vitality, freshness and spontaneity on her canvas.
